The key to happiness is…

Let me confess, I don’t really know what the key to happiness is. In fact, I think the key to happiness is different for every person. We all have our own unique key that can be tried in various doors in search of unlocking the right one and finding happiness. Here are some beautifully written quotes on happiness that I thought I would share with you all today. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did and if you have a favorite not listed, please share it in the comments.

“The grand essentials of happiness are: something to do, something to love, and something to hope for.” — Allan K. Chalmers“Everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all the happiness and growth occurs while you’re climbing it.” — Andy Rooney“Happiness is not a station you arrive at, but a manner of traveling.” — Margaret Lee Runbeck“Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.” — Albert Schweitzer“When you dance, your purpose is not to get to a certain place on the floor. It’s to enjoy each step along the way.” — Wayne Dyer“When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us.” — Helen Keller“Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself: I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it.” — Groucho Marx “We tend to forget that happiness doesn’t come as a result of getting something we don’t have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have.” — Frederick Keonig“Your work is discover your world and then with all your heart give yourself to it.” — Buddha
